Teaching Curriculum
The structured academic teaching curriculum is based on a cycling 1.5-year format. In a 3-year span, each resident will have the opportunity to be exposed to the teaching curriculum on two separate occasions. The content is based on the 2017 Update of the Adult Cardiology Objectives of Training from the Royal College of Physcian’s and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
The topics are covered in regularly scheduled one-hour morning teaching sessions, academic grand rounds, or one-hour lunch-time teaching sessions. The curriculum is distributed September to June in the academic year.
